Leading with Purpose

Richard Leimann Jr., Founder & Principal of Clinical Instrument Repair Consultants (CIRC), brings over 15 years of hands-on experience and innovation in surgical instrument repair. A true craftsman in his field, Rich leads with precision, technical mastery, and a deep commitment to the integrity of surgical care.

Rich began his career with a nationally recognized repair company, where he earned the rank of Master Technician by specializing in advanced repairs for mobile labs. After returning to his hometown of Cincinnati, he took on a leadership role training new technicians and overseeing mobile lab operations across three major cities—ensuring peak performance, inventory accuracy, and fast-turnaround service in critical care environments.

Following the company’s acquisition by a larger corporation, Rich spearheaded the launch of an in-house surgical repair lab at a local hospital—one of the first of its kind to be managed by hospital personnel. His unique position as both a Master Technician and program manager within a prestigious hospital network gave him end-user insight that few in the industry possess. He developed a proactive maintenance program for rigid cystoscopes that significantly extended equipment lifespan and reduced rebuild costs, demonstrating his focus on long-term value and patient impact.

At CIRC, Rich combines deep technical knowledge with a forward-thinking approach to service delivery. His work is grounded in the values of precision, innovation, compliance, and transformation, and his ability to bridge technical repair with hospital-side operations makes him an invaluable leader in the evolution of surgical instrument care.
